If you haven't found PMF, it's almost always a bad idea to hire people unless doing so meaningfully increases the chance that you will find it. This mistake can happen in many ways, but the most common is to hire a sales person because you can't sell yourself. When this happens, the issue is almost always that you haven't made something people really want.
